Welcome to IBT, the website of Independent Building Technology Ltd.

IBT was established in 1998 and specialised in providing technical support in connection with the specification, design and construction of the external envelopes of major building projects. IBT was based in London and worked throughout the UK and Western Europe.

As well as working on new construction, IBT also undertook condition surveys, due diligence surveys, the investigation of building defects and the provision of expert witness services in connection with facades and roofing.

As a result of staff retirement, the company completed its commitments in 2025 and sold its assets. The company was dissolved in 2026.
